Albert Voorthuis opened his first shop on Eye Street in 1973.

Today there are three generations running the company! Daughter Anna-marie is the frame buyer. Daughter Rebecca is the president of optometry who balances patient care with running the business. Grandson Jack has recently joined the company as well.
